The Mental Health Hub

 The Purpose of TMHH

to provide timely and affordable access, resources, and education to all in need of mental health services.

Our Mission

The Mental Health Hub (TMHH) was created to serve as a companion to anyone beginning their mental health journey. At TMHH, we know how overwhelming it is to find help in the midst of mental illness.

We offer clear and concise mental health information paired with easy-to-navigate resources to aid anyone through their mental health journey.

We connect our audience to mental health resources, education, and services to expedite their recovery process. Whether it be learning about types of therapy and locating affordable sessions, understanding insurance coverage and obtaining discounted prescriptions, or even finding local support groups, TMHH aims to simplify this notoriously complicated process.

Our Vision

Our initial aim is to create an interactive website providing both education on mental health treatments and direction to available resources in the community.

Going forward, we plan to expand our offerings to include hosting mental health and wellness workshops, partnering with other organizations to reach a wider audience, encouraging exchange of ideas and experiences through our THMM blogsite, and providing visibility to local and nationwide mental health related businesses.

TMHH acts as a Hub to anyone going through a mental health struggle and seeking help.

We aim to provide discounted or free services to our audience. Our services target lower income and minority individuals.

History

In 2019, longtime friends, Ysa and Ella, began discussing the convoluted nature of our country’s mental health treatment systems. Both women had had negative experiences in locating and sustaining the help they needed for their mental health.

It became clear that this was a common issue to anyone seeking this kind of help. Navigating insurance plans, understanding basic terminologies, and locating highly rated care was often a scattered and opaque process.

Recognizing these difficulties as universal, Ysa and Ella set out to build an organization that could serve as a one-stop-shop for mental health treatment resources and education.

They envisioned a website that connected people with the plethora of under-used resources out there, while also identifying blind spots of missing aid.

Being located in Houston, TX, Ysa and Ella have initially focused their sources in the local region. However, they plan to expand to a national database, as well as grow beyond the website to become a virtual and physical community for those in need.
